Popular Tire
Commercial/passenger tire dealer & auto repair shop · Mississauga, GTA
Popular Tire sells semi and trailer tires to fleets out of both the Mississauga and Hamilton locations, but fleet buyers still fill out a generic quote form for every order - a shared ordering portal would remove that friction and give you visibility across both shops.
Why they need it
Popular Tire runs two full-service locations (Mississauga and Hamilton) selling car, truck, trailer and semi-truck tires alongside repair, alignment and truck-wash services - a genuine commercial/fleet tire operation - but the only digital tools on the site are a 'Request Quote' form and a 'Schedule A Repair' link, both simple lead forms. Fleet and commercial trucking customers ordering tires across two locations currently have no shared account, no order history, and no way to check stock or reorder without a phone call to whichever branch is closer. A commercial ordering and account portal - tied to both locations' inventory - would let repeat fleet buyers reorder in minutes, let dispatchers see order/installation status, and give counter staff one system instead of juggling phone orders across two shops.
Tech gaps
No real online appointment booking (only quote/repair request forms); no shared account or order history for fleet/commercial tire buyers across the two locations; no stock-check or reorder tool.
Current tech
Custom site with an 'advanced quoting' tool, a 'Schedule A Repair' lead-capture link, and a 'Request Quote' form; contact email is Cloudflare-obfuscated in the page source; no true booking engine or account system.
Selling a customer portal
PlaybookA login for their customers to book, see status, and pay, so the phone stops ringing for updates.
- Ask how many 'where is my job at' calls the office takes a week.
- Portals pay back on admin hours saved, not on new sales. Frame it as staff time.
- Start with status and booking. Payments and documents are phase two.
Objections (3)
- “We already have a website.”
- A website tells people about you. A portal does the work for you. It sits behind a login on the site you already have.
- “Our customers won't log in.”
- They already do it for their bank and their dentist. We text them a link; no password on the first visit.
- “Too expensive.”
- What does one admin hour cost you? Most portals replace 10 to 15 hours a week of status calls.
