OGS Property Services
Commercial property maintenance, irrigation & snow removal contractor · Whitby, GTA
70 years and three generations running 5-6 crews across Durham Region is a lot of scheduling complexity to manage with Jobber used only for collecting payments.
Why they need it
OGS runs 5-6 maintenance crews through the summer plus dedicated construction and irrigation crews, serving commercial and institutional properties across Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering - real fleet and scheduling complexity that today is coordinated internally with Jobber used only to collect payments. A commercial client dashboard would let property managers log in to see which crew serviced their site and when, view before/after photos, and pull service history for board reports or municipal compliance, replacing phone calls to the office. Internally, a crew dispatch and route-planning tool built around their actual multi-crew, multi-service structure (mowing vs. irrigation vs. construction vs. snow) would cut windshield time and let dispatchers reassign crews on the fly during snow events. At 70 years and three generations, this is an established, well-capitalized operator that has simply never modernized past its payment page.
Tech gaps
No unified scheduling or dispatch visibility for property managers - the 5-6 seasonal maintenance crews plus separate construction and irrigation crews are coordinated internally with no client-facing status; no service-ticket or photo-proof system tied to each site visit; no self-serve quote renewal or contract management; Jobber is used purely as a payment page, not a real operations platform.
Current tech
WordPress site; GetJobber client hub is used only for taking deposits/payments; separate quote-request form for new business inquiries.
Selling a portal + ops tool
PlaybookA customer-facing portal and the internal tool behind it, built together so the data is entered once.
- Lead with whichever side hurts more today; the other side is phase two.
- One data model means the customer sees exactly what the office sees.
Objections (1)
- “That is a big project.”
- It is two small ones in a row. You see the first working before you commit to the second.
