Bachly Construction
Custom home builder & emergency restoration contractor · Bolton, GTA
Bachly's 1-800 line has been fielding flood and fire emergencies since 1962 - a dispatch app that logs and routes those calls the moment they come in, instead of after someone answers the phone, would pay for itself the first storm night it's live.
Why they need it
Bachly runs three distinct businesses under one brand: custom homes/cottages, commercial construction, and 24/7 emergency restoration (water, fire, wind, biohazard) fielded through a single 1-800 hotline. Today an emergency call still has to be answered, triaged and dispatched by a person before a crew is assigned - high-stakes moments (a flooded basement at 2am) where a missed or slow call loses the job to a competitor. A web-based intake and dispatch tool would let the hotline log a claim in seconds, auto-route it to the nearest available crew by postal code, and text the homeowner and their insurance adjuster a live job-status link - replacing phone tag during exactly the moments customers are most panicked. On the build side, a companion client portal would give custom-home and commercial clients one place to see schedule, change orders and document uploads instead of chasing updates by email across three separate divisional inboxes.
Tech gaps
No online job/claim intake or status tracking for the 24/7 emergency restoration line (currently phone-only triage), no customer portal for the multi-month custom home/commercial builds, no online quote or tender tracking beyond email.
Current tech
WordPress marketing site split across three divisional funnels (custom homes/cottages, commercial & industrial, emergency & restoration), a 1-800 emergency hotline for storm/fire/water damage calls, and named email inboxes (info@, tenders@, plus individual staff addresses) for intake. No booking, portal or CRM visible.
Selling a portal + ops tool
PlaybookA customer-facing portal and the internal tool behind it, built together so the data is entered once.
- Lead with whichever side hurts more today; the other side is phase two.
- One data model means the customer sees exactly what the office sees.
Objections (1)
- “That is a big project.”
- It is two small ones in a row. You see the first working before you commit to the second.
